I am not neccesarily referring to the saddest game you played; but what is the worst memory you have:
The day when sierra declared Quest for Glory V, the last of the series.

The day that I lost my copy of Project 8 on 360. Just gone, case and everything still here, just the disc, gone. :(
First time in my life that I've lost a game, funny thing is that the game or any of my games for that matter NEVER leave my room. Dammit, I love that game.:(
Oooh, I have had lots of sad memories :(
- Black Isle closing down
- Hard drive giving me a red screen of destruction (yes, red! "Out of physical memory") when I was on the final mission of Alice
- Realizing my Return to Zork game was completey destroyed (scratched)
The saddest memory ever: Seeing Half Life 2 come out and realizing the minimum specs required a CPU three times as fast as mine and double the amount of RAM ... that was depressing
Were you running a pocket calculator? lol, kidding.
Saddest memory is when I let my friend use my copy of MGS for ps1, only to have it returned scratched beyond repair. I had sacrificed two months worth of pocket money for that game. Needless to say, I haven't forgiven him, in fact, I'd like to hook up with his ex, just to **** him off.
First thing that comes to mind: Walking into a library/bookstore in Oblivion, thinking 'OMG moar books, moar lore, moar informationz', only to find that about 90% of Oblivion's literature was taken directly out of Morrowind.
Thankfully, Shivering Isles rectified this shameful abhorrence.
Secondly: No promised Beyond Good and Evil sequel?
Two moments :
1. A few years back, when I wanted to play Diablo 2 again, but the install CD was cracked(wtf how?) Luckily I rebought it recently.
2. When my friend and I finally both got Oblivion,it ran on his PC, but not on mine(had to wait 6 months for an upgrade).
Losing three months worth of game time in EVE by losing a ship due to my own stupidity.
Finding out Black Isle closed was a major bummer.
The day I first played NWN after spending years playing BG2. That was sad beyond a joke.
Worst gaming moment, wow I don't think I have had many in my life, I know I felt bummed when I heard that KOTOR 3 was shelved because LA fired the team working on it. I guess it comes down more to poor game endings and the whole feeling cheated bit that goes with it, I know I have experienced it, but for some reason I just cant think of any names at the moment, hell give me an hour or so and it will all come screaming back.
talking about space quest I see you can now buy the complete series for about R200, as well as the larry series, police quest series and kings quest series. As soon as money permits I think I'll go on a little shopping spree for those little bit's of PC gold.
Black and White - the game that gave me my Impenetrable Shield of Anti-Hype +100. Buggy, finicky, and not even close to what was promised. It broke my teenage heart before any girl could.
saddest....
- when I lost my copy of worms 4 mayhem
- when I lost my C&C generals discs
and when I discovered that there would be no WC4 :(
When I realized WoW was consuming my life :( At least that's been rectified now.
Hmmm
-When I first played Gothic 3 and thought it was gonna be the so cool and it was. Then the LAG hit me nooooo not the lag and the glitches nooooo not more glitches. Then the patches were released and I was happy again then I installed them nooooo still lag.
-When I stopped playing GW I gave away 50k to a random person in town and he never said "thank you" he just ran away I was really bummed was doing something nice and wasent even rewarded with a thank you.
Lending out my Soul Blade ( the first game I bought for Playstation) and Tekken 3 games. Then getting them back unplayable because of the scratches...that was a sad day...weep. :-(
Also when I was playing stalker and got so far then patched it but never read that it was gonna mess my save game up. Then I got about to the same point and my save game corrupt :(
Don't worry I have finaly got past that point and my game is still holding strong :)
My saddest gaming memory: My drunk roomate tripped on my 360 and broke it in the process. In the morning he told me that he doesn't remember doing it, and therefore wouldn't replace it. And the worst thing, it was 3 days past warranty.
Sadest one i can think of .... Getting Mortal Kombat II on mega drive while expecting it would be just like the arcade version -> imagine my shock.
