Just a tiny question regarding Borderlands GOTY(which I plan on buying). Does all the add-ons come on-disk? Or do they just give you the download codes?
And is the game playable split-screen (offline) ?

The newer version of the game has the DLCs on the disc, if you need to check this, there will be a UPC code on the case you can use.
The older version UPC code is: 7-10425-37881-2
and the newer one is: 7-10425-37983-3
Someone else has to comment on the split-screen though.
Still playing Dragon Age 2, but finished Crysis 2. Though I'm glad for a FPS where I get killed alot, Crysis 2 seemed to drag on and on, in the end I was basically cloaking and running to the exit, not even bothering to fight the guys I didn't have.
Kinda bummed how they have Prophet saying Nomad and the other guy just disintegrated, (Was that in Warhead?) and then going and taking over Alcatraz's body nothing weird about that at all.
So after loving inFamous 2 i decided o go and get myself the original one for cheap. Been playing it for the last two days nonstop an i have to say, this is actually a little better than its successor. Still adore both games though.
And i finished Prototype2 on Friday. The gameplay is great. Yes its repetitive but that has never bothered me in games. The graphics are great in the environments but the people still look bland.
As for the plot, yawn. Could see everything coming a mile away.
But seriously its one spectacular ****fest of fun, and there is nothing to really complain about, now if you'll excuse me i got repears to fry in Empire City.
Playing a lot of online Space Marine. I don't get why more people don't play this, it's a lot of fun.
I'm kinda bored with Diablo 3, but I'll probably get back to it eventually.
Dude, you need to chill out on Diablo 3. Yes, I know what you said was meant as a joke, but the truth is that D3 just isn't all that. It's tons of fun, and plays really well, but it's... safe. There is no real innovation other than that which serves to streamline the experience, the writing and dialogue isn't that good, the story beats are mostly very vanilla, and the gameplay is at its core very repetitive. Yes, these are endearing qualities to many, but I can fully understand others disliking these aspects.
I'm not saying I don't love it, because I do find it a ton of fun. But it certainly isn't without it's faults.
Yep, something I won't be caught saying to loudly is that Diablo 2 > Diablo 3.
3 is still amazing, though, and I love it to bits. I just liked Diablo 2 a bit more.
Hey, I forgot to mention that I haven't bought the full version of D3 yet.
Been playing D3 starter edition a lot. I love it :D I guess that if I play all the acts in D3, I might change my opinion about the game.
Ouch, not good :( The main reason I want to buy D3 is because I love the Diablo lore.the writing and dialogue isn't that good, the story beats are mostly very vanilla
Just bought Batman: Arkham City, Diablo III Standard Edition, Rayman Origins and Sniper Elite V2. Cant wait till I get home and start playing, just 8 more days till back in RSA. Ah and not to forget my Dota 2 beta invite that came yesterday.
Gonna be hard to keep away from my friends & partying but dammit I need me some game time.

Ever since the Grim dawn thread, I've been playing some Titan Quest. Currently clocked just over 17 hours now, and I'm in the second-last chapter of Act 1. Two Acts to go. An incredibly long game, but oh so satisfying.
Finished up The Walking Dead yesterday. Mixed feelings about the game; it looks great, the voice acting is very good and they've managed to convey both the suspense and 'anyone can die' aspects associated with the genre very well. Most of the dialogue was decent, but I did find a few lines jarring and more than a few perhaps a little too corny for my tastes. That said, I know it's based off the graphic novel, and it wouldn't be the same game without some of that dialogue.
I think my biggest issue is the similarity to Heavy Rain. Not so much the impact of real choices that can't be undone, which was really well implemented, but more the light puzzler aspect. As it is, the game is just not very challenging. Should it be? Perhaps. Yes, the focus is on narrative and the kind of experience the game wants you to have, so why utilise the traditional point n' click inventory system if it's going to be implemented a little half heartedly?
Still, absolutely worth a play, and I'll be picking up the next episode.
Started Max Payne 3, no wonder there are two disks, the cut scenes are incredibly long and very frequent so far, it borders on irritating. Feels like you hardly get a chance to play. Gameplay is awkward and sort of...clumsy, I don't think Rockstar really nailed it, although they gave it a good try. Graphics is decent though, much better than GTA.
I never finished Titan Quest mainly because the game takes so long. And I got tired of having to fight the same enemies in each area over and over again. You reach a town, you go back out into an area and although you can see what you have unconvered on the map, all the enemies spawned again. That is sucky, especially if you have cleaned out the whole area.I've been playing some Titan Quest. Currently clocked just over 17 hours now, and I'm in the second-last chapter of Act 1. Started with the Dawn of War II campaign. All I wanted to say was, "Hello old friend, how I have missed you." DoWII has never been an easy game but oh man I love this game. The satisfaction I get when finishing a stage and killing a boss is something that will always bring me back to this game. On the flipside, the AI does not play well with others. When you make a wrong move or think you are the man, the AI bites back hard and for the most part rips your head off. DoWII strikes that balance between challenge and satisfaction.
Finshed Witcher 2 this weekend. I'm actualy in two minds about this, while yes it was a great game, but better than the first one? My first reaction is no. I somehow found it lacking in comparison to the first one. The story seems a lot shorter and generally just lacking in depth, to me it seems there is less "rpg" in the Witcher 2 than the first one.
Anyway I have a Witcher marathon ahead of me, I plan on replaying the first one and then the second one again. Maybe my opinion will change after playing both in quick succession.
Interesting. Other than the story, what else did you feel the 1st game did better? I'd argue that there was far more 'rpg' in the second one; more meaningful choices, more clearly defined and better implemented upgrade paths, more memorable and complex secondary characters. better writing. Of course, it's purely opinion, I'm just interested to hear why yours differs.
