Not too sure what reviewers are going on about, it seems like the in thing these days to hate on Capcom and I think that's coming off in some reviews. I would just ignore any review really, if you like this type of game get it, it's amazing, up there with Dark Souls for me.
If you have to listen to a review then I would recommend downloading the gametrailers review, after my time spent with the game their review definitely seems to be the truest to the game and will give a good indication of the game itself and the quality of the product.
So excited! I just bought GoW3 yesterday for a bargain at BT, now just need to finish these annoying/frustrating/depressing exams then Olympus will be mine.
Dragons Dogma - Way too much awesome in one game and the fact that everything respawns just makes it that much more enjoyable. Was running around and a Chimera jumped me from behind lol got a bit of a fright but my awesome Pawn was impatient and just let rip a Maelstrom spell, K.O on the Chimera lol. Epic moment in the game for me, 30+ hours in.

And the fact that everyone and everything can can just pwn the hell out of you just adds to the awesome!!! The spells look amazing =D
Gods are happy.
If the cities aren't willing to trade, I don't know how/where to check, since I don't recall ever having seen messages about it.
But perhaps it might be enemies keeping them away.
I'll check those out, luckily I got Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 again, so much fun, just as I remember.
Howzit, I love ye olde Ceasar 3 although I haven't played it in a while. Just an idea but something that might be messing your trade up is that your civilians are eating up the commodity you're trying to export - so when the traders come you have nothing to trade. You must ensure that production far outstrips demand, what I used to do is that once my civilians' needs were met I would export everything over a certain number - that lets you keep some of the commodity for local demand in your warehouse at all times and exports any surplus you have.
Hope this helps a little, I think I'm going to go home and install it now lol, if only Diablo would leave me alone for 5 minutes....
Firstly, D3 has spoiled me.
Im out of cap, so i installed Dungeon Siege 3 cause i haven't gotten around to playing it. Holy smokes. Worst game i've played in a while. The visuals look horribly dated and the menus are huge and clunky and obviously ported straight from the console version. The dialogue is ridiculously bad, to the point where i was skipping all the talking portions. Played two hours and then uninstalled because i couldn't take it any more.
Back to Psychonauts!
I have just finished Prey. My God, what an epic ending. Cheesy and predictable in some places, but I love the puzzles, the portaling technology, the walkways and the ways in which you could use spirit mode to your advantage. Definitely among my top ten shooters list.
If anyone else hasn't played it yet, buy it now. You won't regret it.
Bought Syndicate, despite my better judgement.
Good part? It's actually not a bad game. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would.
Bad part? I'm not currently playing due to excessive QTE. You have to tap F every 5 minutes to open a door, climb up a catwalk, etc. Doing that with icicle fingers in the middle of winter sucks, and I really wish this QTE fad will just pass already. It adds nothing but frustration to the gaming experience.
Zoop...since when is opening a door and climbing a ladder a Quick-Time-Event?
...and yes it is cold.
Having to mash the F button to force open a door classes as a QTE, last time I checked.
If it's on a timer, it's a QTE. If you fail to open the vent or whatever for not mashing the F key fast enough within that time, then it's a QTE. If not, then, strictly speaking, it's not a QTE.
The definition is kind of unimportant though, this particular thing is a ****ing stupid trend and I wish it'd die. Bashing a button to open a door / air vent / Cup-a-Soup packet does ****-all for player immersion unless there's a zombie chomping at my ankles and said button bashing is a matter of life or death.
That's not quite what I'm saying. I'm not fundamentally against the idea of quick time events when they're used sparingly and/or properly. It's just when they're used unnecessarily, as in the case of opening a vent or door, then I find them more irritating than engaging.
I see, sorry I read Zoop's post as the usual "Press E to use" not "HAMMER THAT BUTTON CONSTANTLY! HARDER! FASTER! DO IT NOUGH!"
My bad, yes that sounds like a huge pain.
Dragons Dogma - Level 80 with about 72 hours of gameplay, full dragon forged armor and weapons for me and my Pawn and still tons of quests to do and the epic task of taking down Online Ur-Dragon, will need to wait for the weekend before going against it as the last gen took 27 hours for the world to beat it :) can't have trivial things like work keep me from slaying that beast.
