Thread: Just bought/currently playing/recently completed

A friend in NL went out and made his own MC sever for me and a few friends.
Having been new to minecraft i wasn't sure if i would even enjoy it but the mods he added made it so worth it.

Shaders, bump and normal mapping ,Red power 2, buildcraft.
once again.. insomnia.. the game wont let me sleep.

Building automated farms and making renewable energy "some times abusing the law of physics.. but hell it's fun"
Then i had a idea.. red power2 has all the blocks i need to create
    "minecraft pong" insert coin.

Very awesome game... loads of replay value.
But it will make you a slave to it.

I also grabbed "dark souls" and that my friend is a stunning game.
visually it's a pretty, gameplay.. is legendary.

IDK why but there is something very monster hunter about the engine.
The levels are deep, detailed and intricate.

But it's one of those games where you truly work for your character to get leveled so to say.
The game also uses visual miss direction to distract you from what is and what should be.

CyniKill uses Resurrect. It's super effective!

I finally got around to finishing Assassin's Creed: Revelations this weekend. After finding myself unable to enjoy the game for the last few months, I decided to play it on Friday. The funny part is that all I had to do to make myself want to play was dye Ezio's clothes Masyaf White. Weird, I know, but the grey outfit really put me off. I really bloody enjoyed the game, though. The combat is as fun as Brotherhood's, albeit with a couple snazzier kill animations, I found myself trying to be stealthy and adhere to the optional objectives far more than in Brotherhood. Altair's story sections were also rather enjoyable.

All in all, it wasn't my favourite Assassin's Creed game (Brotherhood gets to keep that honour) but it was a damn good game nonetheless. It's also cured my gamer's fatigue. I hadn't touched my Xbox in almost 2 weeks until starting up Revelations but now I'm itching to play another game.

EDIT: Also, I lol'd at the Desmond outfit. Hearing old man Ezio's voice instead of Nolan North's provided much entertainment. And speaking of Desmond, I really enjoyed Desmond's memories, despite the camera and movement being too "smooth" for the tight platforming it required. Ubisoft managed to do a first person puzzler that wasn't Portal. Bravo!

I enjoyed Revelations as well, but only because I spent R349 on the game. I had no other choice to enjoy it.

My most favourite AC of the lot is definitely AC2. Always will be, probably.

Anyway, I'm still busy with The Witcher. I've played countless hours on it already (probably over 100 hours now) and the game is starting to bore me by now. Choices are never what I'd have made if I was in Geralt's position, and it feels like I'm simply playing a movie instead of really integrating myself into the game like I did with Dragon Age. I also thought I was pretty close to the end of the game when I finally destroyed the Salamandra base, but hell, it all just started all over again and now I'm not really interested in playing everything over again. Certain bugs are also pretty lame (for example, I should've met a certain guy at a certain place, but I know for a fact he's dead, so it leaves the quest open on my Journal with no way to finish. THAT annoys the living crap out of me) and is causing me to lose hope in this title and considering just using a walkthrough to finish it in as short a time as possible so I can jump into The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

WHOA! Hold on there buddy. We have yet to play AC3 which looks SICK. I still cant get over the fact they they trashed Ezio's face :( So bad. My word.

I think I am going to jump into Dead Space again, haven't finished the borrowed copy I had and a while back bought both of them [DS 1 and DS 2] for $7 on steam. Still playing Skyrim, but I must admit I have lost my eagerness to play now that I have finished Dawnguard. BF3 is always on the playing list :P Man I have alot to play :/

I deleted my Dark Souls save... Starting that from scratch...

I'm hoping to finish my DS download tonight. May get to see it working again tomorrow, but that'll be for Origin to decide. FFS I still can't believe I got Origin now. If it doesn't disappoint I may actually praise it, as I quite liked EADM and it failed to successfully DL DS twice in a row now... :/

    Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

It's seems far more "challenging" then Fallout 3 was, but at the same time I'm spoilt for weapon choice and I'm only at the start of the game. Vats is also rather screw ball, I can shoot the wings off a Bloat-Fly but it's body has a 17% chance or something silly. In Fallout 3 I used Vats most of the game, here it's more to try my luck between normal shooting.

Already run into a few glitches, like Sunny smiles vanishing and finding her sunk in a rock - lucky she reappeared later.

So after playing off and on for about 4 years (!) I've finally finished Hitman: Blood Money. The story tying the levels together is forgettable, but the level design is great and the gameplay is solid. I'm looking forward to Absolution now, especially since it looks like they've improved on some of the game mechanics with their "instinct mode" feature.

I tend to use VATS early on in the game, and as I put more points in my small weapons or other weapon skills I tend to take out the weaker enemies with regular shots.

Yeah, FO:NV has a fair number of glitches. None so bad that it detracted from what I consider to be the best FO of the lot.

Yip, I cannot express how excited I am for both AC3 and Absolution, they are going to be incredible games :D I forgot to mention that I am playing Skyroads on my Android. Most amazing little game ever ;)

Just finished Deus Ex:Invisible Wars...The last quarter of the game's story line sucked major plus they ruined the characters from the original with the fact is that they don't look anywhere near the characters from the original game.Sure they suppose to have aged a bit but they still don't resemble the characters anyway.

The annoying inventory bug was frustrating as until you had upgraded a certain ability you couldn't carry more and as a result you would be always short of space eg. if I had picked up 3 multi-tools then tried to pick up more multi-tools it would refuse to add those to the slot with the other ones if you had no empty slots available but if you did then it would add those to the empty one.. :( It would vary from time to time and there weren't any vending machine to buy stuff like multi-tools,etc... which would have helped though as you end up with a lot of credits which could have been spent on buying more equipment.

^In the first one your JC Denton and in the second one your Alex D... So they wouldn't look the same. :P

Ignoring The Witcher now and getting into Dead Space. I'm aged, I know. But the game is stunning. Graphics isn't something to be smirked at either.

I did not say that Alex looks the same as JC Denton.I just said the characters from the original including JC Denton don't resemble the characters from Deus Ex1 as I have played Deus Ex1 at least 22 times so I should know something about the game.

Dragon Age 2 - Really enjoying the game at the moment, think I am pretty much getting to the end of the game, hope there is at least another 5 hours or so of gameplay as it's been really fun so far. A bit too easy though and some of the enemies are laughable especially after playing Dark Souls and Dragons Dogma.

Can't believe people are still wasting their time with Deus Ex:Invisible Wars. Throw it out the window, and go buy Human Revolution IMMEDIATELY!!!

Invisible War was a decent game on its own. A bad successor to the original game, but not a bad game.

What Zoop said. On its own, great game. Compared with the original, not that great. But even HR pales in comparison to the original, and HR was bloody good.
