rAge Letdown - Where the hell were all the Team Fortress 2 players?

I thought this game would be HUGE at rAge. But to my bitter disappointment the maximum people I saw on a TF2 server was about 10? Where were all you guys??? To busy playing DotA or COD4:D???

ya. it was rather fail. there was a good nine people on one of my servers on friday night, but from there on there was no more than 3v3. People were blaming a steam clientupdate for the lack of source games. But CoD4 was great fun. not as social a game as tf2, but it was still fun.

This might be totally off topic but it is the same thing with HL2: DM there was a max of about 4 players and in my oppinion its not enough. *excuse the spelling*

I did create one i think it was late friday or it was on saterday but no-one could join *damn updates* but we where about 4 players it was fun though. I think they should host a HL2 DM server!!

Yeah what gives? I wanted to play but I only found one server and then there were like 3 people on it. so I just played COD 4. SIGH....FAIL!!!

you will be pleased to know that our clan has convinced most of the members to purchase the Orange box in view of starting it as a clan game... so with any luck you'll be seeing us on the servers in a short while!

maybe if some of you guys start playing hl2dm online more often you could befriend the people who play it and then organise someone to host a server next year?

Dont know, but when i shared my backups some guys TF2 began to work , maybe they didn’t make sure their steam worked offline.

For HL2 DM there was a new update that i knw about.

Some of the steam servers that were supposed to be hosted didn’t want to run with some of the other servers on the same box. The Intel server was delivered on the Monday afternoon before the event that left us with very little time to install and test the servers.

So although we had all the updated servers etc we ran into hassles in hosting them.

My apologies for the inconvenience. We will take up the late delivery of the Intel servers with Intel to try and find a solution that will enable us to test the servers properly for the event.

its not a problem even though we only where a few players we still had A LOT of fun for my first rAge. im going again next year. its a must :D

I have a suggestion for next year:
Why don't we make our own Team Fortress 2 Competion at rAge 2009?
We can get sponsors and get cool prizes and stuff for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so forth.
