I can't stand this crappy Realtek onboard sound any longer. Any suggestions for quality sound cards? I'm hoping to not have to go over R1000, so I was looking at the Asus Xonar DX earlier. Suggestions?

OK now I know that i5 does not support triple channel alright.......but what I want to know is if I bought a triple channel RAM kit............would it still work ???

As in the 2 sticks will work in dual channel while the third in single channel.

Yup, still works, just like all the other DDR3/DDR2 boards out there. But seriously, you don't need more than 4GB in an i5 rig anyway. Its far more beneficial for the LGA1366 platform because its actually a workstation platform, and 6GB is the minimum for the kinds of workloads you'd be generating on it.

    Here's one for R1300:

If you can't afford it rather get a 2*1gig set for now and save for a 2*2gig set so at the end you'll have 6gigs.

This really depends on your Motherboard. Check the Manual to be safe.

EDIT: not doubting the other guys, but just to be sure.

Ok, so last night my faithfull OCZ Equalizer mouse broke. Now, I might be able to fix it. Otherwise I need to buy a new gaming mouse, I can't live with this 600DPI cheapskate gigabyte mouse ;(. My budget is around R800, prefrable a bit lower. I might be able to stretch it to R1000 or so but nothing more than that.

I have looked at the Logitech G9x, but it's a bit on the epxensive side.

Any suggestions? I can buy the Razer Deathadder 3500DPI addition at a store near my house for R565.00, is that any good?

    Thanks in advance.

The Deathadder series is generally quite good. Review here.

Otherwise, look at the Logitech G500, Microsoft Sidewinder X5, and the Sidewinder X8.

Also, the Coolermaster Sentinel seems to be a rather good mouse, otherwise the X5 gets my vote. I have a Cyber Snipa Stinger, and that's all I need from a mouse, and readily available at most BT Games outlets

But isn't there any better mice out there? Like I said i am willing to stretch my budget a bit. My friend has the X8 and I don't really like it.

Is the G9x the best out there?

And I would rather buy the G9 instead of the G500.

    Ai karamba...

Do you want to buy a mouse because it is the most expensive and by some correlation therefore the best, or do you want one that you would prefer? The G9x could tickle your balls while you used it, but if it wasn't comfortable in your hand and didn't suit your play style then it would be a waste.

Don't buy **** just because it's the most expensive, really, it's douchey.

Thats not what I am saying. I'm not saying because it's expensive I want it. It's just that most sites I go to say it is the best mouse out there and not to mention it has been in the NAG dream machine for the past 6 months.

on of my OTHER friends has the G9 and it feels comfortable in my hand. I was just wondering if there aren't any slighly cheaper mice available that give the same peformance or other mice from that price range that are also good options.

Or have I miss-interpreted my own question?

OK lets say I get DDR3-1600mhz RAM, now the i5 750 supports 1333mhz...........basically my RAM will be downclocked to 1333mhz to run with the CPU correct ??

From your last few posts it seems like you've already decided on the G9x. Why not just ask us for the cheapest place to get one?
