Thread: The Cheaper Gaming Guide

I saw Fifa 12 for R99 but I'm not a Fifa fan though. Nope I didn't pick up Rayman Origins for R99. I already have too many games to play and with the games I just bought (Metal Gear HD / NFS The Run / Fallout New Vegas Complete) I don't want to put too many games on my list to play. Want to finish what I have before Diablo 3 comes out.

Well I got it last week, and it was limited time only. Guess that time's over then!

    Woot.

Bought Red Dead Redemption GOTY edition. R149 at Incredible Connection.

I managed to pick up Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition on PC for R49 and Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (Xbox) for R149.
Those buggers wanted me to pay R249 for the MGS collection.

Wasn't planning on picking anything up on that sale, but Echo did manage to snag the last copy of Driver: San Francisco (Xbox 360) at IC Canal Walk for me, only R50!

Had issues with the site though, some friends wanted BF3 and I couldn't get any :P

After watching The Avengers, I need to get myself a copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. After seeing the TopCD ad on the top of the forums, it's a must. Only problem is getting to Cresta.

    How's the game btw?

Looks like everybody's favourite store is having another mini "sale" from 10 - 13 May. Here's the actual picture from the brochure, it's not just a gaming sale though

Anyone who is yet to play Red Dead Redemption really has no excuse now, R99!!! Otherwise, pretty meh selection. I'm guessing these are the leftovers from the last sale, but even then Duke Nukem Forever was going for R50.

Actually quite tempted to pick up Metal Gear Solid 4, even though I do not have a PS3. I'll borrow a console some time to play it, I must know what happens....

Had a real tough time tracking down Red Dead for a few months. Was out of stock everywhere. Finally saw it last month for R180 and got it. Now this happens.

****. Can't believe I fell for it. No stock again. I hate you IC ... again.

I'm also getting tired of the bait and switch tactic. What I've found works with friends who live n PE is as soon as they hear there'll be a special they phone the store and ask to reserve a copy. If they're nice to the games manager or shop manager, they can pick up all the titles when they stop at the store. A big pits its not run like BT Games' specials, where they'll order for you if there's no stock and sell it at the same price.

I've not seen Cranky in a while, but I'll be interested to hear what he has to say about this. He's the gaming coordinator for IC, appointed to ensure the gaming community is promoted with IC. I want to hear his take on this, because this is annoying me a little. See an advertised special and the same day everything is cleared to staff? That's a little unfair, I'd say.

That's why I never respond to IC sales. It's happened to me twice now that I go to a shop and get told the games advertised are not in stock at that store.

It's a waste of my time and my money getting there. Stop advertising **** that's only at one or two shops in the country.

Anybody know where I can get MK 9 Komplete Edition for a good price. I checked on Kalahari, they had it for R350.

You can get Midnight Club 2 for free by joining the Rockstar Steam Group this month: http://steamcommunity.com/games/rock...78427175199696
