Oh no! I thought I'd made a cunning choice with DrPettr! (Although it is so much fun it's definitely worth it)... But I do think the homebrew sound style works for ArrGeeBee, the sounds could probably be improved a bit, but also having a little ambience or music would take the pressure off the sound effects (because they would seem subtler if they were playing alongside something else)

In fact it's possible to do it without using any hearts!

Oh don't get me wrong, DrPettr's absolutely awesome. I'm just being snobby and dismissing its "mainstream" nature. :P There's some pretty amazing stuff you can do with it.

WHA- HEY WHAT NOW.

I can understand level 16 (fairly open plan), but level 10 has had me stumped for at least 15 minutes. You, gentlemen, just out-brained me at my own game.

I love how the creativity of entire communities can make a game burst out of its own bounds. :P

Didn't you enter this into the EGP competition as well? What's the feedback from that side like?

@Blackships: Noice :P

@dislekcia: To be honest, I decided at the last minute to pull out on that one. I felt that my interpretation of "Art Game" was pretty shallow, and there was a small art-snob side of me that *really* wasn't happy enough with that. I was going to dev something else in flixel instead, but then the New Year Buildup(TM) happened and I ended up spending most of the last few comp days with my brother.

If there's an EGP this month, I'll probably look into that to make up for the one that passed me by. :P

Still, attention's been good on this one. Been getting e-mails here and there (like this one from NickMania) commenting on how the game is being liked/reviewed/stuff. :)

That's a damn cool theme. Dunno what I'm going to enter yet, but I'll think of something.

I registered here because this game is killing me. It's brilliant. I hate it. I love it. I've recommended it to my friends.

16, 17, 13, 19 and 20 I haven't solved yet.

This game makes no bones about being a challenge. I even had trouble getting through the tutorial levels. But it makes beating a level feel like a real accomplishment. What it needs now is a level editor. I'll bet the player base could come up with hundreds of levels.

Again, good game.

That's a pretty good suggestion, and if I do more work on ArGeeBee, a level editor would be the first feature to throw in. Designing fiendishly difficult puzzles can be ... well, fiendishly difficult, and it's always nice to see creativity applied from a different perspective.

Good luck with those levels too. :P By principle, I'm avoiding throwing any hints into this thread myself, but maybe you can persuade one of the other members to give you spoiler-tagged assistance if you want help with a specific stage. ;)
