Taking its cue, perhaps, from other recent EA-published game Titanfall 2, the next Mass Effect doesn’t feature a season pass – but whether or not that also means free DLC and other stuff like Respawn’s ro-bro shooter is a matter of speculation for the moment.
Responding to a fan’s question on Twitter, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn confirmed that Mass Effect: Andromeda is dumping the season pass thing, adding that “we’ll talk more about that later” when asked how additional content drops would work. All three previous Mass Effect games had subsequent premium DLC launches, so we should probably expect the same this time around. Maybe you can only unlock them if you don’t bang your crew. What a dilemma that would be.
Game’s out on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on 23 March.
