Comptium’s stand is directly opposite the NAG Magazine one with the awesome arcade machines that you can win. Just in case you didn’t hear it already, you can ask the pretty NAG Minions for a few coins and try your luck at posting some high scores to win one of these fantastic machines. But back on topic, Comptium had overclocker dRweEz take the reins over the last two days and I spent some time picking up how they’d done with the Asrock Z77 OC Formula board.
When NAG reviewed the Gyroxus gaming chair earlier this year, it wasn’t given a sterling recommendation. Too often you’ll find gaming peripherals and devices such as these that aim to improve the gaming experience, but may not perform as necessary in all areas. The Gyroxus chair was ostensibly one of those products that fell victim to doing too much all at the same time, but my hands-on experience was, in short, fantastic. And my arms hurt like hell.
Making a turn in by stand #86 I happened upon AMD’s display and was pleasantly surprised by what I could find there. A few products were dedicated to AMD’s new Trinity APU family based on the Piledriver design and a raft of Bulldozer builds sponsored by Evetech, showcasing what is possible with the brand.
In the build-up to the opening of the expo tomorrow I thought I’d visit the dome a little early and take some pics of what’s happening behind the scenes while you’re planning on how early to queue in the morning. In short: this weekend will be a blast!
I was trudging through the stands today as they were being built and stocked up and the way in which this proceeds in an almost orderly fashion surprises me – or maybe it doesn’t, considering it is the expo’s tenth year of existence (and also the first one I’ll be attending ever). And while I was walking around I had to take notice of two stands you simply must visit tomorrow: Dion Wired and Comptium.
As we progress through the week, we get closer and closer to the event of the year – rAge Expo. As promised, I’ll be there during the weekend bringing you all the hardware events and reveals, giving readers unfortunate enough to not make it this year at least feel like they’re with the crowds as things happen. For those of you at the expo, make sure you look out for me.

So while I’m at the expo I’m not just going to be bringing you news and stuff – I’ll be trudging through the various stores to see some things that are on for sale and not just for you to drool over, but for me to buy as well. My PC is feeling its age very much these days and is in need of some upgrades here and there. So what will I be looking for there?
This year at rAge we’re going to see a few unique stands that don’t always have something to do with technology – some of them, like Grace Pharmaceuticals at stand #30, aim to teach and enlighting gamers about the benefits of healty living and exercise. Others like Torque IT and Dynamix Academy aim to give you the skills to succeed in the computer industry, if you’re so inclined. Interested? Hit the more button – you know you want to!
Getting back into the swing of things for my rAge coverage, we’re looking at another three stands today that will be selling their wares to sexy, sexy NAGlings such as yourself, dear reader.
