Turns out that those weird fake movie posters from the other day were in fact pointing to Bloody Good Time, just as we suspected. The previously (unofficially) announced downloadable title for XBLA and PC is now officially official, because obviously none of us saw that one coming.
You can check out the first few screens from the title below. Developer Outerlight (who created another wacky multiplayer-focussed game called The Ship) is utilizing Valve’s Source engine to create yet another zany multiplayer shooter. This one takes place on various movie sets, promising that players will be enveloped in “the merciless world of movie studios where anyone can star in a scary Hollywood blockbuster film.” The eight-player FPS’ cast is built up of a number of stereotypes seen in horror films: maniacal clowns, surfer dudes and the like. Also, exploding rats are a weapon, which is awesome. Other weapons come in the form of frying pans, flamethrowers and other bizarre tools of destruction and mayhem.
The game is set to hit XBLA and PC later this year. More info on the game exists here.
