Commissioner Gordon is back in our Call of Duty. Gary Oldman (star of films like True Romance and The Fifth Element) is reprising his role as Viktor Reznov from Call of Duty: World at War in this year’s CoD iteration. Also joining CoD’s voice-acting ranks is Ed Harris, whose film credits include Enemy at the Gates and A Beautiful Mind. Harris will be voicing Jason Hudson, a CIA operative and one of the lead protagonists in Black Ops.
Also working on Black Ops is David S. Goyer. Goyer has been credited as having had a hand in the screenplays for films like Blade, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He’s going to consult on Black Ops’ script and aid in the development of the game’s story.
“Oldman, Harris and Goyer are considered some of Hollywood’s finest talents and they perfectly complement Call of Duty: Black Ops’ ambitious and immersive single player experience,” said Mark Lamia, head of Treyarch: developer of the game. “Their contributions have helped us to push the boundaries of our story telling and character development far beyond anything we have ever attempted before in the franchise.”
