Trophies and Friends Lists safe after PSN hack

Some good news at last for those affected by the recent PlayStation Network hack: Sony has confirmed that all 77 million PSN user accounts’ Trophies are safe and sound. As soon as you log back into the PSN (whenever that might be) your account will re-sync with your Trophy list. Furthermore, your Friends List is also in one piece and all PS+ members with cloud-based saves will be relieved to hear that those are also secure.

In related news: Sony’s other BFF George Hotz has chimed in on the recent PSN security breach saying that he had absolutely nothing to do with it. Speaking via his personal blog, Hotz condemned the actions and accused those responsible of giving the hacking community a bad name:

“Running homebrew and exploring security on your devices is cool, hacking into someone else’s server and stealing databases of user info is not cool. You make the hacking community look bad, even if it is aimed at douches like Sony”.
