Witcher 2 on PC provided “great insight” for Xbox 360 port

Man, slow news day today. John Mamais, the executive producer over at CD Projekt RED has admitted that the PC release of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings wasn’t without its flaws. Despite those flaws, the game was still an excellent experience; NAG staff writer Dane Remendes loved the crap out of it.

The good news is that Mamais and the rest of the team have paid close attention to community feedback during their tackling of the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2. With that in mind, PC gamers might feel like guinea pigs, but CD Projekt RED has stated that it’s “important to note that any critical improvements made for the 360 will also be provided back to the PC community in some form or another”. Oh, that’s totally fine then.

Naturally, one of the ooh-aah features of the PC version of The Witcher 2 was the gloriously rendered environments (and boobs). While the Xbox 360 crowd can look forward to a more balanced and streamlined version (with boobs), they won’t get the good looks as well (but they’ll still get boobs, albeit lower res ones). According to Mamais the Xbox 360 version will be comparable to “at least the default medium settings on PC”, which should keep the glorious master race happy (with their higher res boobs – ok I’ll stop now).
