Sony PlayStation will be launching their new handheld gaming console tomorrow, the PS Vita. NAG Online will be attending the JHB launch event this evening, and Miktar will have a hands-on impression of the Vita in the next few days. In the mean time here are detailed specs of the Vita and also a look at some of the games that you’ll be able to buy at launch.

Megarom has confirmed their launch titles, and the lineup is looking tasty. From Ubisoft we’ll see Michael Jackson The Experience, Lumines, Dungeon Hunter Alliance, Asphault Injection and Rayman Origins. Codemasters will be bringing their F1 racing franchise to the Vita, Formula 1 2011. Namco Bandai are releasing Ridge Racer and Touch My Katamari, and Square Enix will be bringing you Army Corps of Hell.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has announced that MotorStorm RC, Hustle Kings, Top Darts, WipEout HD and HD Fury DLC for WipEout 2048 and Capcom’s, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 DLC will be available for purchase via the PlayStation Store. If you do already own any of these games on your PS3, you’ll be able to download the content to your Vita for free.

From a hardware perspective its looking pretty beefy. Features include a 5-inch OLED multi-touch screen, Bluetooth support, front and rear cameras, built-in stereo speakers and mic.
