Let’s watch the Dishonored debut trailer together

Here’s the first trailer for Bethesda’s Dishonored – a first-person stealth game in which you play as Corvo, a bloke who is falsely imprisoned for an assassination he didn’t do. The game is being developed by Arkane Studios, which is the team responsible for 2006’s Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. They also gave 2K Marin a hand in developing the levels for BioShock 2, so they’ve got my vote that’s for sure.

Dishonored has undergone somewhat of a metamorphosis since we last saw it at Gamescom 2011. Just over a month ago, some gameplay footage surfaced during a developer interview; if you missed that you can check it out here.

This debut trailer is all pre-rendered, so don’t expect to see exactly what we’ll be playing. It does, however, do an excellent job in conveying the mood and atmosphere of the title. I’m liking the steampunk vibes, and I’m getting overwhelming echoes of Half-Life 2’s art direction in there as well. All good stuff then!
