The PC and Xbox 360 versions of Mass Effect 3 have been getting some awesome multiplayer promotional weekends. The more recent one was the Operation Resurgence weekend. Man! It was so awesome – you PlayStation 3 guys really should have be- oh. Yeah that’s awkward.

The bad news last week was that BioWare pretty much outed Sony as being the reason for the lack of multiplayer weekends on the PlayStation Network. Both EA and BioWare had hoped to bring the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer weekends to everybody, but Sony has been dragging their heels when it comes to approving the promotions on the PlayStation 3.

The good news now is that a Sony rep recently told website Shacknews that they “are currently working together with EA and BioWare on an implementation to bring Mass Effect 3 multiplayer weekends to PS3”. No word on when this will happen, but isn’t enough just knowing it’s going to happen? Yeah, didn’t think so; we’re really an impatient bunch, aren’t we? In the meantime, be sure to check out Tarryn’s guide on making the most of Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer.
