Alright, so remember when Square Enix released the E3 Hitman: Absolution trailer just before E3 started? And remember how there was a portion of the internet that exploded under the weight of all the ire and indignation at the trailer’s in-your-face sex-sells mentality? It forced IO Interactive to issue a formal apology that read: “We’re sorry that we offended people – that was truly not the intention of the trailer… We just wanted to make something cool, it wasn’t the intention to stir up anything”.

Well, that was a while ago, and just as any good marketing exec will tell you, you need to milk as much publicity as possible, even if it’s the negative type of publicity. This has resulted in IO Interactive and Square Enix releasing an ICA Profile video on The Saints gang that 47 dispatched with extreme prejudice during that trailer.

The new Profile trailer manages to sneak in some of the negative publicity that the initial trailer stirred up. The header image is a screen-grab of the trailer, and it pretty much reflects the main concern that many had with the E3 trailer: it was exploitative. Profile trailer after the jump.
