Legendary music man Paul McCartney has revealed that he is currently working alongside game developer Bungie to produce music for their upcoming science-fiction shooter. This was revealed in a tweet by McCartney, which read: “I’m really excited to be working on writing music with @bungie, the studio that made Halo.”
In May this year, at the height of the West and Zampella versus Activision lawsuit, Bungie’s new series was outed in court documents. The new series is codenamed Destiny, and it will be launching in 2013 with sequels planned every other year up until 2020. You can read more about that here.
According to website Eurogamer, McCartney had already revealed that he was working on the score for an upcoming video game during an interview he did with German magazine Die Zeit. During that same interview, McCartney admitted to be fascinated by video games and said that he felt that by composing a score for a new title, it might be the first time a new generation would hear his music.
