If you’re running a Macbook, iMac or Mac Mini, you’ll be pleased to know that the developer version of Mountain Lion was pretty much as near to finished as Apple was planning. OS X 10.8 went gold today and will be shipped to retailers and made available online and all over the world at the end of this month. Apple has surprisingly elected to drop the asking price for the upgrade, putting it at $20 (approx R180) for US customers. If you’re running more than one Mac, the retail pack allows you to update all of your machines with a single license. If you also bought a new Macbook Air or Pro this month, you also qualify for a free upgrade on that machine.
