A night with the indies

Have you seen Indie Game: The Movie? Do you live in Cape Town? Do you enjoy hanging out with fellow gamers and game developers? If you answered no, yes and yes, then I can think of absolutely no good reason why you aren’t going down to the Labia Theatre tomorrow night, spending a mere R40 and joining in this one-night-only affair. In the words of local game developer Danny Day (co-creator of Desktop Dungeons), “It’s a must-see film if you’re even slightly interested in what goes into making games or are a fan of incredible documentaries.”

If, however, you happen to live outside of The Mother City (and, more directly, near Johannesburg), then woe not as you’ll have another chance to see this fantastic film during the AMAZE indie festival, which takes place from the 28th of August to the 2nd of September 2012. AMAZE is set to bring together game developers, artists, media and anyone interested in the game development industry.
