Well, in the normal sense of a console/PC game coming to iOS; meaning that it’s a mobile-friendly version and not a ported version of what you already know. Pretty sure you didn’t need that to be explained though. Anyway, it’s called Borderlands Legends and it stars the gang from the first game: Brick, Lilith, Mordecai and Roland.
The game was “announced” via the digital version of the strategy guide for Borderlands 2. In that guide, there’s an advert stating that the iOS game will be arriving in October 2012. That means that Gearbox has got just over a week to, you know, publically announce, hype up and then release the game.
From the sounds of things, the game is arena based as you have to fend off waves of bad guys. You’ll be able to level-up your character, unlock skills, earn cash and loot thousands of different guns. And that’s pretty much all we know about the game, which for this industry is rather amazing considering the Borderlands IP is hot property at the moment, and this iOS version is supposed to be out by the end of the month. You can see the advert after the jump.
