A while back, we posted a story about a new indie team called Red Barrels. That’s right, the group that’s made up of developers who have worked on games like Uncharted and Assassin’s Creed. They’re making a new survival horror called Outlast and it looks suitably terrifying.
In honour of Halloween, the team has released an extended version of the debut trailer we posted earlier. It fleshes out the basic premise of the game and gives you a good idea of just how they’re planning on ramping up the horror levels. They’ve got some clever ideas, such as no flashlights, which forces you to use the night vision mode on your character’s video camera instead.
Outlast remains a PC exclusive heading to Steam; no word on a release date so far.
