Bethesda has some good news for PlayStation 3 owners: that missing DLC might be making an appearance fairly soon. This news comes via the developer’s official Twitter account, which recently sent out the following message: “To update: we’re also close on new Skyrim content for PS3 and PC.”

The indication that new content is heading to the PC is no big deal; the latest instalment of DLC (“Dragonborn”) is bound to end up there soon after the Xbox 360 release anyway. The PlayStation 3 version, however, is of more interest. Skyrim has been out for nearly a year and the PlayStation 3 version of the game is still regarded as a complete botch, so much so that Sony had to get their own employees involved in helping Bethesda fix the (many) problems. Once the first helping of DLC failed to arrive on PlayStation 3, Bethesda announced that they were not very hopeful about their ability to fix the problems.

That rather pessimistic update was provided over two months ago, and judging by this latest smattering of an update, things are looking a little more optimistic for the PlayStation 3 crowd.
