Rockstar has released the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto V. The trailer was supposed to be out earlier than this, but Hurricane Sandy made sure that the developer missed their initial release date. We’ve got a bit of a tonal shift in the second trailer, with the trademark, scathing GTA satire beginning to peek through.

There’s also an emphasis on the three recently revealed protagonists: Michael, Trevor and Franklin. A lot of what was revealed about the backgrounds of the three characters is on display. My particular favourite is the dynamics within Michael’s life; bring on the dysfunctional family humour. Also, a lot of the characters in past GTA games have ebbed more on the side of being ciphers rather than detailed characters, which appears to be anything but the case with these three protagonists.

Enough waffle! Hit the jump to check it out.
