Perhaps you’ve heard of Hotline Miami, the neon coloured murder simulator that doused the indie scene in petrol before setting it alight? Yes, that’s the one – the game most future authority figures will point towards as they scream about how video games are (still) destroying the fabric of modern-day moral society. Anyway, it’s getting a sequel – the game is, not modern-day moral society, thankfully.
Hotline Miami’s creator, Jonatan “Cactus” Söderström, recently tweeted about listening to “the sweet tunes of a preliminary Hotline Miami 2 soundtrack.” Naturally that set people’s tongues wagging and Söderström was forced to elaborate.
Basically, Dennaton Games (the development duo behind Hotline Miami that includes graphic artist Dennis Wedin) has been working on DLC for Hotline Miami. However, the development has grown so large that they’ve decided to turn it into a fully-fledged sequel instead. Don’t expect anything too soon as their main priority remains putting out patches for Hotline Miami.
