We’ve known about Activision and developer Terminal Reality’s Walking Dead game for quite a while now. We know it’s a first-person shooter based on the AMC TV series, which is good news considering Telltale Games has the comics covered in their (excellent) episodic The Walking Dead game. We also know that Terminal Reality’s game is called The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts and that it stars one of the TV show’s best characters, Daryl Dixon.

Actor Norman Reedus plays Daryl in the TV show, and Terminal Reality has confirmed that he’ll be providing the voice-over work for the in-game character. The game will follow Daryl’s exploits prior to joining up with Shane and Rick’s group at the quarry outside of Atlanta in season one. Survival Instincts is therefore Daryl Dixon’s prequel story for the AMC series.

The good news is that we’re not going to have to wait much longer before we get to see what Terminal Reality has been making. Chatting to fans in the comments block over on the PlayStation Blog, a Terminal Reality rep confirmed that they’ll be revealing the game next month, which (in case you haven’t realised) starts tomorrow.
