Nintendo’s Wii U has been selling well since its launch and we finally have some numbers for the UK – 40,000 happy gamers grabbed a launch unit in its opening weekend. There’s nothing yet for other regions as some are experiencing slower sales than others. Demand for the console is high in most countries and the most popular so far is the premium-priced ZombiU package, which includes a black console and controller, the sensor bar, a copy of ZombiU and the Nintendo Premium package subscription for their online services for just £349 (approx R4900). Its not cheap by any means, but it is a snazzy piece of kit and I look forward to some price drops when the silly season is over.
