There’s a new Call of Juarez game coming. No wait, come back! This one isn’t like the previous failed attempt at a reboot; it’s set in the Wild West once again, so no present day, Los Angeles drug cartel rubbish here. Nope, it looks like the Call of Juarez series has done the full circle in just a few short years of existence: original vision, sequel, ghastly reboot and then back to the original vision.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger puts you in the cowboy boots of a bounty hunter recounting the events of his life. It’ll include encounters with Jesse James, Billy the Kid and John Wesley Hardin (no idea who he is either). It’s loaded with all sorts of cheesy spaghetti western tropes like spinning 6-shooters before shoving them back into holsters, and blowing the barrel of your still-smoking gun.
Ubisoft is publishing the download-only game, and it’s heading to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. There’s a trailer after the jump; it’s looking pretty good.
