Metro: Last Light is the hugely anticipated sequel to the sleeper hit that was Metro 2033. Players once again join Artyom as he traverses through the tunnels of the Metro underground in Russia near Moscow, this time seeking to prevent civil war and trying to free his people while also kicking more ass. According to TechpowerUp!, Nvidia will be shipping free copies of the game with their Geforce 600-series cards.
It won’t be their entire range, sadly. With the huge amount of publicity generated for AMD thanks to their Never Settle bundles and the fact that Blood Dragon is now included in that package, Nvidia is looking to entice more gamers to buy their cards. The Free-to-Play bundle is sweet and all, but it’s only appealing to a select group of gamers who play and are heavily invested in titles like Hawken, Planetside 2 and World of Tanks, not the guys who would be interested in saving Elizabeth from Columbia in Bioshock Ultimate.
The report suggests that only cards like the GTX660 and up will receive the game bundle and at this stage it isn’t known if that also applies to the GTX690 and the GTX Titan. Nvidia isn’t very forthcoming about the rumor and will probably keep details wrapped until just before the launch of Last Light, which will be the 14th of May in America and the 17th for the rest of the world. All that aside, I’d like to add that I’m seriously excited about Last Light. I adored Metro 2033 and this could be even better. NAG Magazine will obviously have a review in the works, so keep your eyes peeled.
