Monaco, the four-player co-op indie game that’s won a bunch of awards for looking awesome, was supposed to be out on Xbox LIVE Arcade tomorrow 25 April. It’s been delayed less than 24 hours before it was scheduled to release. Now that is what you call a dramatic game delay.
Posting on the game’s official Facebook page, the indie dev broke the news to people well aware of just how last second this delay is: “We just discovered that there is an issue which requires that we push back our Xbox LIVE arcade game release date a little. We’ve already submitted an update to Microsoft to fix the problem, and as soon as we know that the issue is fixed we’ll have a new release date. I know our fans have been waiting a long time for the game, and hopefully they’ll have the patience to wait just a little while longer. What’s mine will be yours very, very soon!”
The good news is that the game hasn’t been delayed on PC. Those of you who have pre-ordered a Steam copy will get the game on time. There’s no revised release date for the XBLA version, but considering a patch has already been submitted to Microsoft, it shouldn’t be too long.
