… For his new project, Precinct, not some sort of sordid deal involving hookers, cocaine, and a troupe of illegally imported Ukrainian dancing weasels. Man, you guys have some seriously twisted minds.
Anyway, ex-Sierra Online lawman Jim Walls has put out an APB for $500,000 on Kickstarter to fund development of the game, described as (you guessed it!) a “spiritual successor to the wildly popular Police Quest series”.
“Like the original Police Quest series, Precinct lets people see what it’s really like to be a police officer,” said Walls in the press stuff. “With today’s development tools and technology, I can finally deliver the type of experience that I’ve always wanted to. I want Precinct to rekindle the feeling of classic adventure games while delivering a cutting edge police adventure to a whole new generation of gamers.”
I’m assuming when he says “what it’s really like to be a police officer”, he means the TV version of what it’s really like to be a police officer, because the real version is mostly paperwork and nobody wants to play that.
