Hey, so all of us at NAG like LEGO. We like it a lot. This one time we bought every roll of yellow duct tape from the local hardware store just so we could tape up our hands into the shape of little LEGO men hands; we then tried to do normal NAG stuff, only with duct taped LEGO men hands. There were loads of typos in the magazine that month, and the office’s StarCraft 2 multiplayer ladder rating took a bit of dip. It was totally worth it though because LEGO men hands.
We’ve posted about CUUSOO projects before. Most recently we looked at that amazing Fez village; too bad that isn’t going to see the light of day. Now, however, we have the awesome Ghost Busters “Ecto-1” vehicle that’s been designed by LEGO builder BrentWaller in celebration of the film’s 30th anniversary.
You know how this CUUSOO thing works: for a project to get green-lit (so to speak) it needs to get a minimum of 10,000 backers on the website. Once that’s done it moves off to the LEGO team who then assess the validity of manufacturing the set for the rest of the world.
The set includes LEGO Minifigs of the whole Ghostbusters team: Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore. Who wouldn’t want a Bill Murray Minifig? You also get Slimer, assuming the set becomes a thing. But just check out that Ecto-1 model; that is some amazing LEGO interpretation skills right there. We’d own one of those for sure.
