While Geoff packs his suitcases, checks his tickets, and makes sure that his “ICH <3 CURRYWURST” tee is clean and ironed ahead of his trip to Germany, I’ve put together an itinerary of what’s happening at Gamescom this week so you can close your eyes and pretend you’re right there with him at every moment.

Although the expo only opens to the public on Thursday, there will be a whole lot of press-only events going down from tomorrow already including conferences from Microsoft, Sony, Activision Blizzard, and EA, and you can expect big announcements about next-gen consoles, next-gen console launch dates, next-gen console games, next-gen-next-gen-next-gens, a Diablo III expansion, and The Sims 4, respectively.
