At least try to act surprised; I’m sure Claptrap would appreciate it if you did. Gearbox and publisher 2K Games have announced the Borderlands 2: Game of the Year edition. Following the GOTY formula, this edition will come packed with every scrap of DLC released so far.
It’s being released internationally on 11 October 2013. Expect to pay around whatever you normally pay for new games on your platform: R600 for console and around R350-R400 on PC. In case that price makes you feel woozy (and really, it shouldn’t) 2K has slapped a garish “Over $100 in content value” sticker on the cover. I’m hoping our localised version has a direct exchange rate conversion so that we can feel like we’re getting over R1,000.00 of content value.

In case you need a refresher, the DLC to date includes: Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, Gaige the Mechromancer Character Class and Krieg, the Psycho Character Class.
Additional content in the GOTY edition will include: Creature Slaughter Dome, Premiere Club Content, Gearbox Gun Pack, Golden Key, Vault Hunter’s Relic, Collector’s Edition Heads and Skins and the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1 that shipped with pre-orders of the original game.
