Goichi Suda and his Grasshopper Manufacture studio were on hand during Sony’s pre Tokyo Game Show press conference to unveil their latest action game. The game, entitled Lily Bergamo, is heading to PlayStation 4 in 2014, but at the time of the reveal Japan was the only mentioned territory seeing a release. Previous Grasshopper Manufacture titles have been brought to the West through alternate publishers (such as Warner Bros. and EA) so it’s hopeful that we’ll see this newest game our side of the globe as well.
Suda51 is the madman behind such titles as No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw and the more recent Killer is Dead. Little is known about Lily Bergamo at this point outside of a teaser trailer and some early concept art. The trailers shows a young woman beating the hell out of what looks like a demon thing that also sort of reminds me of Evangelion mecha.
You can find the trailer after the jump. Here’s hoping that’s all in-engine footage because it certainly looks very pretty. Unfortunately there’s some talking over the trailer as this was captured from Sony’s presentation. We’ll update the trailer as soon as Grasshopper releases a clean one.
