I love all the teens who think that just because they’re out of high school that they never have to open another text book again. Ah man, its cute because the reality is completely different – you will always be opening up new text books and learning new things for the rest of your life. As tertiary study becomes more important to your ability to land jobs and succeed later on in life, it’s no coincidence that a number of learning institutions will be at the expo this year to attract the gamers with a slightly more technical inclination. That’s probably why you’ll find CTU Training at stand number six.
Below is a small press release CTU Training has prepared for rAge-goers interested in learning more about computers, software and other aspects of the IT industry:
CTU is excited to announce that we will be at stand number 6 at the Rage Expo 4-6 October 2013 in the Coca-Cola Dome.
Rage is all fun and games and while choosing a career or up-skilling can be fun, the decision to invest in your future remains a serious matter. Since 1987, CTU has equipped our graduates with the right skills to qualify learners on a national and international level, in the ICT sector, for the South African job market. We offer a variety IT, business and design programmes with national qualifications and international certifications which develop skills and prepare graduates for a future filled with exciting opportunities at its 15 campuses countrywide.
The demand for certified CTU graduates is high. In line with industry requirements, CTU Training Solutions (PTY) Ltd is fully accredited by the MICT SETA and provisionally registered with the Department of Education as a Private Further Education and Training College.
CTU Training Solutions was announced the Microsoft Gold Learning Partner of the Year 2012 on 1 November 2012. We were also awarded the Microsoft Country Partner of the Year: South Africa in May 2013. As one of Microsoft’s largest training partners in South Africa, delivering over 40% of all authorized training, CTU Training Solutions always strives to align our efforts with Microsoft to empower people around the world to succeed through learning.
Even if you’re currently working in the IT industry, visiting the stand might be worth your while. CTU will be promoting a technical showcase of Microsoft’s Azure server service that takes place on the 17th October, so anyone interested in cloud computing might want to stop by and see what that’s all about. In addition, anyone at the stand will be eligible to receive a voucher for a discount on CTU’s Online Security training course.
As part of my coverage, I’m asking stand vendors which they like – peanuts, or raisins. I’ll be keeping a tally (at least from the vendors that reply) on which one they prefer. Yes, it’s a strange question, but all will be revealed in a future column dealing with goings-on at the expo.
CTU Training voted for peanuts! Man, those raisins must be feeling pretty left out right about now, but at least that half a vote counts. Will the raisins claw back with a victory? We’ll have to see in the final days leading up to the expo.
