Developer Irrational Games has released the first five minutes of upcoming BioShock Infinite DLC “Burial at Sea”. The two-part DLC sees Booker and Elizabeth in Rapture the night before the underwater city fell into chaos.
Footage of the first five minutes of that DLC has been uploaded, and while it doesn’t give away too much of what we can expect, it does show you what Rapture was like before its ruin. It’s kind of odd how instantly familiar and simultaneously foreign the whole setting feels. The opening snippets of plot indicate that the Little Sisters will play an integral role in the story.
The footage is prefixed with a spoiler warning for BioShock Infinite, but to be honest I can’t really see how these first five minutes of DLC could spoil the main game. I might be overlooking something obvious though, so if you haven’t finished Infinite then maybe skip this to be on the safe side. Those wanting to go into the “Burial at Sea” DLC knowing very little can actually watch this without too much worry; it really just shows off how Irrational has remade Rapture using the Infinite engine. There’s still no concrete release date for this first episode of “Burial at Sea” but it will be out before the end of the year.
