Remember a few weeks back when nVidia, rather strangely, unveiled the minimum PC requirements for Call of Duty: Ghosts? Remember how publisher Activision came out shortly afterwards to say “nuh-uh” and tell us all to sit tight until Infinity Ward had nailed things down? Well, things have been suitably nailed and the bad news is that those requirements we all scoffed at a few weeks back haven’t really changed at all.
That minimum 6GB of memory? Still there. The need for a 64-bit operating system? Yes, there as well. What about the 50GB of hard drive space? Well, that’s been lowered to 40GB, so yay? Aside from a slightly lower space requirement, the only other difference is that they’re now saying you can get away with a minimum of a GeForce GTS 450; the Radeon minimum requirement remains unaltered with an ATI Radeon HD 5870.
We’ve copy-pasta-ed the full requirement after the jump just for completion’s sake. Looks like Chris Kemp’s opinion piece on these requirements being a huge mistake is once again valid. I’m sure he’ll accept your apologies in monetary values or jelly-beans.
