That’s right folks, the release of South Park: The Stick of Truth has once again been pushed back. Who called it? The game’s newest release date is now set for the 6th of March next year.
There have been many delays for the release of the game, and a lot of fans are getting pretty annoyed by it all. But I’d rather have a game come out a little (a lot) later than planned, than end up playing something unpolished and untrue to the vision of the creators. Which according to the minds behind the show, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, is the reason for the delay: “We always wanted the game to feel like you’re actually in an episode of South Park. Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we’re excited to say it’s taken way longer than we thought it would.”
But waiting is painful, so to try and ease this pain ever so little, there’s a new gameplay trailer – and it’s pretty damned phenomenal. It really does look like it’s an episode of South Park, but only a million times better because it’s a video game.
South Park: The Stick of Truth will be out for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC 6 March 2014.
