For the (few) of us that own Sony’s impressive but woefully overpriced and under-supported handheld, firmare update 3.00 is out. You can update your Vita by going to System Settings > Update via Wi-Fi.
This update adds in the PlayStation 4 Link option, which lets you remotely control a PS4 (like Remote Play on the PSP), and certain games will display extra information to the Vita using the second screen feature.
Other additions include Parental Controls, a Panoramic Camera for making cool omnidirectional panoramas using the (kind of crappy) camera, the Friends panel has been improved, Group Messaging is now Messages with a new layout, and the Party app lets you voice and text chat with friends using a PS4.
