When Bungie first revealed Destiny (after what seemed like an endless parade of announcements of announcements of announcements) the game was earmarked as heading to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The question arose: what about PC? To that, Bungie initially said that they were undecided about making a PC version but it wasn’t a resounding “no”. That uncertainty happened in May of this year.
We’re now a couple of months on and Destiny’s hype-train is gaining momentum. Naturally, the Glorious PC Master Race is growing impatient and wants clarification as to whether or not Bungie’s “next BIG thing” will hit the platform. The answer is: not damn likely.
“We know there are a lot of people out there asking for PC and we know that there are a lot of gamers that would willingly give us money,” Bungie community manager Eric Osborne told IGN UK, “but what we have to do is make sure we’re focused enough to bring a good experience to any platform that we ship on.”
“What we 100 percent are not going to do is spread ourselves so thin that it negatively harms the other platforms. So right now we have the four platforms, which is a lot to focus on.”
Naturally, people are upset. If you want see how upset, then head over to this article on PC Gamer and read the comment section. It’s… wow, just wow.
