The Do Gaming League is the largest and most competitive online gaming league in South Africa and the deadline for entries for the summer leg of the 2014 edition has been extended from January 19th to January 26th on the back of a record number of registered gamers. The games on offer vary from the popular COD and MOBA leagues to exciting additions like the Hearthstone tournament (for those with access to the beta), Street Fighter X Tekken, and TrackMania Nations.
The leagues are generally very well run and have been a massive boon to local eSports since their inception with a number of prizes on offer for potential finalists and winners (although the greatest prize is, of course, glory). The number of entries across the board is already massive, so try your hand at your favourite games and get competitive. Hit the jump for links to all of the different games on offer.

Dota 2 has proven to be particularly popular, with Telkom releasing the following via the Do Gaming website:
“The 2014 Telkom DGL Dota 2 Summer Leg has thus far received 234 teams entered into the Dota 2 DGL. Not only is this a first for the DGL once again, but never has a competition in South Africa seen this many entries.”
Added to this staggering total of entries (234 * 5 = 1,170 gamers registered for Dota 2 alone), the Hearthstone tournament has received over 200 entries – confirming its status as a potential eSports success – and League of Legends has over 100 teams registered.
I will be playing (and most likely losing) in a couple of the leagues myself, so leave a comment and let us know which leagues you have entered. Good luck and have fun.
