Arkham Origins Blackgate heading to consoles and PC

Good news, Batman fans: the 3DS and PlayStation Vita “exclusive” Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is heading to bigger platforms. The 2.5D side-scroller was developed by Armature Studios as a spin-off release alongside the rather lacklustre Arkham Origins. Armature, in case you were wondering, is a team that was put together by ex-Retro Studio developers – the guys behind the Metroid Prime games.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed the upscaled re-release of Blackgate will be hitting PC (via Steam), PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 at the beginning of April. The downloadable game will feature exclusive Batman skins (yay?) as well as better graphics and full surround sound.

The upscaled release has been dubbed the Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition. It’ll set you back $19.99. Hit the jump for the announcement trailer and get ready to get your 2.5D Batman side-scrolling on.
