This time one month ago, Sony was basking in the glow of 4.2 million PlayStation 4 consoles sold since launch. Last week, Sony’s latest console was finally released on home soil, and the Japanese market wasted no time in picking up a lot of PlayStation 4 units.

Speaking via the PlayStation Blog, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that global sales have now eclipsed the 6 million mark. That means that over 1.8 million consoles have been sold in about a month; that equates to just over 58,000 PlayStation 4 consoles sold per day.

Aside from massive sales figures, Sony unveiled a handful of other interesting stats: 90% of the PlayStation 4 consoles in America are connected to the Internet; gamers on PlayStation 4 make up 20% of Twitch’s daily broadcasts; and there have been more than 100 million videos and screenshots captured and uploaded via the Share button on the DualShock 4. Those are some pretty impressive numbers.
