Giblets: Nvidia’s R335 Beta drivers available now

Nvidia has now publicly released the latest version of the Beta Geforce drivers along with an upgraded Geforce Experience UI and Nvidia Shield streaming to networks outside your home network. If you want to take a gander first create a restore point and then uninstall your current Geforce drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller, leaving unticked the box option to delete the Nvidia folders on your hard drive. The reason for this is because these are beta drivers, there’s absolutely no guarantee that they won’t stuff up your system somehow, even though it’s highly unlikely to happen. Want a brief summary of the performance improvements? Hit that button!

Note that for many of you, when this driver reaches WHQL status it’ll be the last you’ll ever see if you’re running any GPU older than the Geforce 400 series. All of the older architectures that came before Fermi will be deprecated, their support stopped with only bug fixes implemented in the future, if they even get that. Windows XP support will also be cut off with the WHQL release of this driver, while Vista will continue on until such a time as the DirectX 11 platform becomes as old and outdated as DirectX 9.0c.
