“Gaming In Color” documentary is here and it’s queer

If you’ve been keeping up with us, you’ll recall we recently pointed out a handful of game-related documentaries that you totally need to watch. What’s that, you say? You’ve still not had your fill? Well then, you’ll be pleased to know that a wild newcomer has appeared in the form of Gaming In Color (yes, it’s American spelling).

This documentary tackles the oft-overlooked gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered side of gaming: from the history of the sub-movement, to the experiences of gaymers within the community, to gay themes in games generally. In particular, it features a look at the short-lived GaymerX expo held in San Francisco. Most of all, it’s an important milestone in the ongoing debate about tolerance and equality in the gaming community, and it’s a must-see.

It’s available for streaming and download on yonder website. The best part is that it’s another pay-what-you-want deal; $1 will enable you get the goods, but you can add a lot more if you’re feeling generous.
