Still sore about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt being delayed? Well, GOG and CD Projekt RED have announced the official launch date for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt alongside details for the various editions of the game and a gorgeous new “gameplay” trailer at their joint Summer Conference. The Witcher 3 will be available from the 24th February 2015 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, so let your weary mind be at ease now that you have a date to pin it to that isn’t in the Fornever Realms. Hit the jump for the video and a break-down of the various editions.

Throughout the live stream, the presenter assured the audience that every edition will feature the same content (unlike a certain dog I could name, which sent buyers on a different wild hunt). The standard edition will come with a map, Witcher guidebook, videos and the soundtrack. The collector’s edition, on the other hand, will feature a polystone griffon being murdered ridden by Geralt, as well as the signature wolf medallion and a massive artbook — among other extras — in a box large enough to fold a cat in.

GOG enthusiasts can already pre-order the digital edition from GOG.com for 20% off, and it comes with extra content like a digital comic book, wallpapers and the like. You’ll also get an additional small discount if you already own the previous titles. The Witcher 3 remains DRM-free, which I think warrants some praise.
