Heads up, Witcher fans: the Internet is now a swirling cloud of Wild Hunt spoilers ready to destroy your soul and suck out any joy you might have experienced playing The Witcher 3 for the first time. If that sounds overly dramatic, then I guess you’re just a terrible person who eats babies.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that one of their employee’s Google Drive accounts has been hacked. Sadly, that account had a ton of confidential documents pertaining to upcoming RPG nerdgasm, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. CD Projekt has moved to assure fans that the leak will in no way impact on the game’s continued development and we’re still on track for a February 2015 release.

Speaking of a release date, the documentation mentions that the game has been in a complete state for all three platforms since February of this year. While that document states that the game is playable from beginning to end, it also states: “No known blockers are present, but random crashes, functional and cosmetic bugs may still occur. The entire game can be played without progression blocking issues on PC, XBONE and PS4 although performance is expected to be worse on consoles.”

Clearly those “random crashes, functional and cosmetic bugs” were enough to warrant a delay of one year for polishing. We’re not complaining; rather a late and stable game than a mess that’s on time.

Also contained within the hacked Google Drive account is a PDF bestiary for the game, which includes monsters that have been cut. All of the possible endings for The Witcher 3 are also detailed as are numerous quest descriptions and heaps of production art.

Finally, some documentation on the E3 2014 press demo was also leaked. The document describes the scene that plays out in front of those attending the E3 showing of The Witcher 3:

“We start with a cut-scene with the camera descending down on the Baron’s castle, showing off the lovely open world surrounding it. The camera tracks in on the window of the cottage where we talk to Keira Metz. Cue dialogue. We talk to Keira Metz and she gives us a task: remove the curse from the tower in the swamps. (Boob physics eye candy, appropriately prepared dialogue).”

All of this content is easy to find via places like Reddit and NeoGAF, so if you’re not interested in heading into the game completely blind, read away. Just don’t be a colossal ass-hat and ruin it for other people.
