Bad news everyone! And by “everyone” we mean those of you still getting your pixel kicks on last-generation console hardware. Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor have been delayed.
Instead of arriving alongside current-gen versions on 03 October, the last-gen version will arrive just over six weeks later on 21 November. The reason is the usual: more time is needed to polish the game, which is perhaps a little bit telling considering the last-gen version is being developed by Behaviour Interactive and not Monolith Productions.
As for you, Glorious Master Race: you’ll be playing on 30 September. Yes, before anyone else. Do you feel suitably superior and special? Great stuff – you deserve it. Goodness knows it’s so hard to play video games on vastly superior hardware when there are lesser gamers the world over being forced to play on consoles. How do you sleep at night?
